Parents Ratings of Most Beneficial Treatments in Autism

I found this link to Parents Ratings of Behavioral Effects of Biomedical Interventions very helpful and highly useful, especially for skeptics who wonder whether biomedical treatment works. Here's the link: http://www.autism.com/treatable/form34qr.htm . Many of the things that we've found helpful, others also found helpful. Parents know best! Take a look at how many drugs (the most pushed by many mainstream doctors) parents found actually WORSENED behavior. Yet, see how dietary changes, simple supplements, and other biomedical treatments were rated as helping children "get better".

Hi there! I just found your blog and was curious whether you are still persuing sequential homeopathy for Caleb. I have an almost 3 yr old who we've been treating with sequential homeopathy for almost a year. We thought we were nearing the light at the end of the tunnel; but have been taken aback by extremely bad behaviors and moods. Was there anything in particular that you found helped your son the most with behavior and moods via homeopathy? Thanks! Joanna http://drewsautismdiary.blogspot.com

We have and still occasionally are doing sequential homeopathy with Rudi Verspoor. I can empathize with the bad moods and behaviors! Last year was a nightmare for us with both of those symptoms. However, this year has been a different story, and I can't put my finger on one thing that has helped, just a combination of a lot of things. We revisited mb12 injections which I now know are necessary for moods. Sometime just 1 a week or even less, just when I start seeing a bad mood, I give it. Rudi (our sequential homeopath) said to try to do sequential at least once every new season, especially don't skip the spring one which addresses parasites. That we've tried to be sure to do, so that has definitely helped ward off the bad moods. Otherwise, maturity and finally the right educational setting have been much of the catalysts. With that being said, some mood remedies I do know have helped in the past were Kali phos Cina and Calc phos for us. Depending on your other physical symptoms, you may want to look at those remedies.

Just type in www.autism.com and go to the link on the page that shows "parent treatment ratings". Sorry for the missing link :)
